Front row seat to the live music
This cottage is closest to the restaurant for a front row seat to the live music. Music is generally Hawaiian and contemporary, and on weekends there is happy hour music which tends to be more on the contemporary or oldies genre. This has the sunniest part of the beach.

One level, on the widest part of the beach
Second from the restaurant, this cottage is all on one level and on the widest part of the beach. The outdoor shower garden is a favorite due to the direct sun overhead. This is a very sunny part of the beach.

Shade out front, ocean view intact
Located third along the beach, “Nalu” has a large tree in front of the cottage which provides shade protection but does not obstruct the view of the ocean.

Our most private — and most requested
Furthest from the restaurant and therefore considered the most private, this cottage is our most requested. There is a beautiful tree in the outdoor shower garden which creates a unique feel. The beach in front of the cottage is shady, and on the side there is a separate sitting and relaxing area with chaise lounges and club chairs just for guests of Hale Wa'a.

Unlike a typical vacation rental, the cottages share the sand with the Lava Lava Beach Club restaurant and bar — great snacks, entrees, drinks, and dessert, with live music until 9pm nightly. Each cottage receives daily housekeeping, fresh linens, and complimentary Hawaii-made bath amenities.
We're approximately 19 miles from Kona International Airport (KOA), in the heart of Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Kohala Coast — famous for some of the sunniest weather in all of Hawai'i.
